For the first time ever, Diwali at The Savoy was hosted by One Family in partnership with the Hemraj Goyal Foundation.

In a very special evening to honour life, love, and light, this inaugural event took place at the celebrated landmark, bringing together an audience of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and celebrities. The event was supported by Aashni & Co, the Arora Group, Clyde & Co, Hallmark Care Homes, Lalique Boutique, Maisha Design, and Madhus.
Presented by comedian and actor, Sanjeev Bhaskar, the evening highlighted the problem of human trafficking across the Nepal-India border, and raised funds for the rescue, repatriation, and rehabilitation of survivors.

Sports Broadcaster Manish Bhasin spoke about his visit to Maiti Nepal, a One Family supported NGO, founded by social activist Anuradha Koirala, and the devastating impact of human trafficking on its victims and their families.

Music composer Shammi Pithia delivered a thought-provoking performance, which included vocals written and performed by residents of Maiti Nepal’s Rehabilitation Centre in Kathmandu. Guests were also treated to a live performance from talented music artist Tanya Wells of Seven Eyes, and a rare live DJ Set from British Tabla artist and composer Talvin Singh, OBE.

Closing the evening, Sanjeev said, “One Family has made huge strides in such a short space of time and it is an honour have presented the first-ever Diwali at The Savoy. I’m already excited to see what the event will bring next year.”
